Parking Registration and Permit Required for On-Campus Parking by 2/18

You must register your vehicle(s) and display a permit to access on-campus parking this semester. Each vehicle must be registered.

Enforcement of parking permits will be begin Wednesday, February 18. All other parking and traffic regulations will continue to be enforced throughout the district at all times.


Campus and Service Closures: Presidents’ Day Weekend February 13-16, Lunar New Year Holiday February 17

In honor of Lincoln’s Birthday holiday and President’s Day holiday, the campus and all services will be closed February 13 to 16. Classes and services will resume normal schedule on February 18, after the Lunar New Year holiday February 17.


Career Planning and Workforce Development Center Events

The Career Planning and Workforce Development Center will host several Workshops and Events this semester. Kickoff events begin this week and next. Find more events here. All on-campus workshops will be held in the Career Center CCCPLX-215.

Explore the different major pathways Cypress has to offer and learn about career services that can help you navigate your career. Pick up a Valentine Treat, too!

Black Professionals Panel
In partnership with the Legacy program, meet professionals in the fields of Health Sciences, STEM, and Kinesiology as they share experiences and career tips.

Art and Photo Gallery Openings This Week

The Cypress Art Gallery and the Photography Department are hosting their exhibition receptions early this semester. The art gallery will present Topographix: Latinx Photographers and the Sub/Urban Landscape, and the photo gallery will feature works by Arnoldo Vargas. Both receptions will be in the evening of Thursday, February 12.

Where: Cypress College Art Gallery (adjacent to Theater) and Eduoard de Merllier Gallery (TE1)


Ramadan Observance

APIDA’s first major event of the semester is here. Join the Ramadan Awareness Event in the APIDA center as they acknowledge this month of fasting, reflection and sharing.

Library Author Talk

Attend a virtual reading via the Cypress College Library with Dr. Lindsey Stewart, author of “Mojos, Mermaids, Medicine, and 400 Years of Black Women’s Magic.” See more in the series here.

UndocuAdvocate Training

Faculty and staff: Join UndocuAdvocate Training, a professional development event designed to understand the lived experiences of undocumented and mixed-status students in higher education.  This training centers the unique challenges of undocumented students and explores the critical role we play in fostering inclusive and affirming environments.
