LIB 100 C: Introduction to Library Research
Interested in earning 1 unit of credit and learning how to do the kind of research that will get you great grades? Take LIB 100, it works!
LIB 100 C is a hybrid class and features an introduction to traditional and electronic methods of research including the internet. Students learn to locate, evaluate and correctly cite the information selected for use.
Library Instruction / Orientations
Instructors who would like to schedule research instruction sessions for their classes should email the title of their classes, the assignment prompt that their students are working on, and their preferred choice of dates and hours to the librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org and reference desk (714) 484-7069.
The library also provides Cypress TILT, a self-paced tutorial, available through the library website. TILT is comprised of four interactive modules:
- Module One: Principles of Selecting Sources
- Module Two: Principles of Searching for Information
- Module Three: Principles of Evaluating Sources
- Module Four: Practice using the principles with resources from the Cypress College Library

The Cypress College Library has a variety of books, both print and electronic on the subject of Funeral Services and Mortuary Science. Some are textbooks, which are library use only, others are available for checkout. We also have some Reference E-books for students to use.
