About Matt Dawood
Matt has been dedicated to supporting students in the California Community College system since 2006 where he has served in various roles, including administrative and faculty, across three colleges.
As a product of the California Community College system, Matt understands firsthand the transformative power of community college and draws on his lived experience to guide his leadership.
He currently serves as the Director of Disability Support Services at Cypress College, where he oversees all aspects of the program, including counseling, Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services, the High Tech Center (HTC), outreach, specialized instruction, technology, and testing.
In addition to championing accessibility efforts and working to ensure the best possible student experience, Matt is committed to fostering a culture of collegiality, professionalism, and wellness.
