What to Do if You Test Positive for COVID-19
If you’ve tested positive within the last 14 days, please follow the instructions below.
1. Do Not Come to Campus
Contact your instructor(s) to inform them of your positive case of COVID-19 and to make arrangements for class assignments.
If you cannot reach an instructor, notify Campus Safety of your positive case of COVID-19 by calling (714) 484-7387. Campus Safety will connect you with a dean and/or the Vice President of Student Services to discuss your next steps.
You must self-quarantine for 14 days and may not come to campus during this time, for any reason.
3. Complete the Questionnaire
The dean from your Cypress College program will contact you to ask you to complete a confidential questionnaire. This questionnaire will help trace potential additional on-campus exposures. Exposure is defined as having close contact with an individual with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes).
4. Show Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test
Before returning to campus, you must show evidence of a negative COVID-19 test.
If needed, testing locations can be found on our website at cypresscollege.edu/coronavirus.
