Testimonio: Dr. Jose Del Real Viramontes

Puente Alumnus Dr. Jose Del Real Viramontes will share his journey as a first-generation, immigrant scholar and discuss his research on community college transfer experiences, including insights from his co-edited book, Community College and Beyond: Understanding the Transfer Experiences for Latina/o/x Students. This presentation will engage students, faculty, staff, and administrators in an interactive discussion and activity focused on recognizing and leveraging their community cultural wealth as a source of strength and success throughout the community college experience and beyond the transfer to a four-year university.
