About Professor Martinez
Background
In my time at Cypress College, I have taught courses that include Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, and Brain & Behavior. I have taught the Psychology of Sport at other institutions and I consult in the area of sport psychology, performance enhancement. I also consult with individuals and institutions in designing research and setting up statistical analysis methods. Collaborating in research and application in sport psychology, learning and technology and other areas associated with human performance and student enhancement continues to be among my pursuits.
Education
I hold a Ph.D. in The Psychosocial Aspects of Sport (Allied Area in Statistics & Research Design) from the University of Utah as well as an M.A. and B.A. in General/Experimental Psychology from San Jose State University.
Pastimes
I enjoy spending time with my family, mountain biking, driving, watching superhero and sci-fi movies, and I am a longtime fan of the University of Utah Utes and SF 49ers football teams.
