Meet Sandra

Sandra joined the DSS team as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Coordinator in March of 2015. Before then, she worked as a sign language interpreter for Cypress College and Rio Hondo College. She completed the Interpreter Training Program at El Camino College in Torrance and earned her BA in Deaf Studies from California State University, Northridge. She collaborates with students, interpreters, staff, and other DHH service professionals to enhance services for students and achieve their goals.

Sandra also devotes a lot of her time to her family. Every year, she takes trips with friends and family to see the Dodgers and Raiders play in different states across the country. She is fascinated with exotic food and likes to try new restaurants. Her favorite pastime is enjoying a good movie and relaxing. She would someday like to run a full marathon while her kids cheer her on.
