Meet Sandra

Sandra was hired as the Cypress College ARISE counselor and will be working in collaboration with Hailie Hurtado and Christina Lakeman at Cypress ARISE. Sandra got to know the DSS staff at Cypress College through her role as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at DOR as the primary liaison for Cypress College DSS students. Sandra has served in this role for the past six years and is excited to be transitioning to Cypress ARISE. In addition to her full-time job at DOR, Sandra has also worked as an adjunct DSS counselor at El Camino College for the past two years. Sandra has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services from CSULA. Although Sandra is not an NOCE employee, she will work closely with our NOCE students in Cypress ARISE. A fun fact about Sandra: She loves traveling and going to concerts.
