Travel the World @ Cypress’ International Cultural Festival Thursday

Cypress College’s International Cultural Festival returns for its second year this Thursday. Look forward to a full day of cultural displays and presentations, eight world cooking demonstrations and tastings, and a celebration of the diversity of our campus community! When: October 3 @ 10:45 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Where: In front of the main FASS entrance (in front of HUM lecture halls)

Cypress College Food Pantry Reopening

The Cypress College Food Pantry is now open and offering distributions Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.

Students will be asked to register once during their first visit each semester; for all following visits, students must simply check-in with a Food Pantry team member. To register for Basic Needs Resource Center & Food Pantry services, you must be an active Cypress College student enrolled in units. Registration is easy and only takes a couple of minutes.

The Basic Needs Resource Center & Food Pantry will also continue offering household/hygiene, diaper, and housing assistance. Visit the center in Student Life & Leadership (Bldg. 8) or check the Basic Needs Resource Center & Food Pantry webpage for more information.

RSVP for Mental Health & Wellness Summit

Join Cypress College and the rest of NOCCCD at the Mental Health & Wellness Summit, a district-wide event hosted at Cypress College in partnership with the Steve Fund.

The summit will feature connection, collaboration, and interactive sessions addressing mental health concerns and providing healthy coping strategies for some of our most vulnerable students, while also fostering dialogue and support strategies for employees.

When: October 29 @ 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Cypress College Campus

Take Advantage of Counseling Appointments Through Week 13

Now is the time of the semester to get your Student Educational Plan completed! Student educational plans are an important part of your journey here at Cypress because they map out the courses you will need to take based on your major and educational goals. Schedule an appointment to meet with your major area counselor for the following:

  • Degree/Transfer Requirements
  • Transcript Review
  • Progress Check
  • Graduation Information

Counseling appointments for educational planning are available weeks 3-13 of each semester; the first two weeks and last three weeks of each semester are reserved for walk-in counseling to assist with course registration and clearance.

2024 Annual Safety and Security Report Now Available

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the 2024 Annual Safety and Security Report is now available. The document covers incidents reported during the 2023 calendar year and is prepared by the Office of Campus Safety in cooperation with Human Resources, Athletics, and Student Life and Leadership, along with information provided by the Cypress Police Department, Buena Park Police Department, and various other law enforcement agencies.
