New Auto Tech Car Lifts Dedicated to Supporters
The Cypress College Automotive Technology Department recently installed eight new car lifts outside the auto shop as part of its Electric Vehicle Service Port construction project. During a dedication ceremony, supportive faculty and industry partners who helped make this possible were honored with placards on each of the new lifts.

T-TEN Grad Passes All Certifications, Wins Awards
A member of last semester’s graduating T-TEN cohort became the only student to pass all 10 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests. Jesus Salgado graduated Cypress College with top honors in 2024, and went on to pass all ASE tests, including Advanced Engine Performance (L1) and Hybrid and EV Technology (L3).
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Associated Students Annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive ends this week. All donations will go to Thanksgiving Baskets and be distributed to students in need. The goal is to assemble and distribute 30 baskets the week of Thanksgiving. Suggested items to donate include: Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Gravy, Cranberries, Chicken Broth, Mac & Cheese, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Pumpkin Pie Mix, Pie Crust/Mix, Evaporated Milk, Sweet Potatoes, Pasta/Rice, Quick Bread Mix, Biscuit/Roll Mix, and Dessert.
Drop off donations at Student Life and Leadership or one of the donation boxes in the division buildings throughout campus. Any size donation is appreciated and will help.
Winter Intersession Registration Open Now
Cypress College offers select classes during a month-long winter intersession in December and January. Finish general education classes at an accelerated pace and get that much closer to your degree or certificate! Classes occur over five weeks. To view winter intersession classes, make sure “Spring 2024” is selected in the Select Term box AND select “Winter Intersession (WI)” in the Part-of-Term selection box.

Gender 101 Training
Gender 101 Training brings awareness to our conscious and unconscious ideas around gender in order to create more inclusive spaces in our classrooms, our workspaces, and the community. This will be a safe space to learn, to ask questions, and to practice. All participants at various places in gender understanding are welcome. Celebration of Dance

Cypress’ Photography Department is now displaying Ed Heckerman’s solo exhibition Recent Offerings.
The Cypress Photo Club presents two all-cyanotype process shows: Tru Blue by board members, and Mi Mundo Azul by Maria Calixto Martinez.
