The list below provides student support information regarding online and telephone access. Each of the three buttons below contain comprehensive lists of services.
Chromebook Request Form
Requests for Chromebooks for the summer session are available. Please fill out this form if you are a student and need a Chromebook or Wi-Fi.

Disability Support Services
Every effort has been made to make courses accessible to all students, including students with disabilities. If you encounter a problem accessing anything in your course(s) or you require an academic adjustment based on the impact of a disability, please discuss this with your professor(s) and contact Disability Support Services at dss-students@cypresscollege.edu.

Internet Service
A number of internet service companies offer discounted service for low income families who receive assistance through various government programs.
- Comcast Internet Essentials, including the first two months free, $9.95/mo thereafter
- Cox Connect2Compete, including the first two months free, $9.95/mo thereafter
- Spectrum Internet Assist
Spectrum (Charter Communications) is also offering 60 days of free internet and WiFi access for new accounts in Pre K-12, college student, and teacher households through a COVID-19 Remote Education Credit. This option requires signing up for Spectrum internet service. Installation and prepayment fees are being waived.
AT&T, Spectrum, and Xfinity are keeping public WiFi hotspots open for public use.
The state Chancellor’s Office is also working with the telecommunications industry to try to provide free internet services and computers for students in need for the next six months. We will keep students updated on the progress of these discussions.

Tutoring
Learning Resource Center (LRC) subject tutors are available to help student for FREE in private online sessions. For more details and information on how to schedule an appointment, go to cypresscollege.edu/tutorial-services.

The LRC continues to support online tutoring through NetTutor and SmartThinking. NetTutor can be activated within student Canvas shells, and Smarthinking is available to students via myGateway.
WiFi Access
Wireless access is available to students in Lot #1 on a first-come, first-served basis. Access is for registered Cypress College students with valid login credentials. Access to Lot #1 will be available to students on weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. until the end of the last scheduled class on that particular day of the week (typically 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 5 p.m., Friday).
