Associated Students
Welcome to Associated Students!
Associated Students (AS) is the student government of Cypress College. AS offers students the opportunity to gain unique leadership skills as well as personal and professional development. Just as Cypress College is a leading, premiere community college in California, our student government strives to live up to the same level of distinction by upholding and advancing our institution’s core values of equity, excellence, collegiality, inclusiveness, and integrity.
AS is responsible for the following:
- Working to improve student life and well-being
- Advancing and exemplifying the core values of our institution
- Organizing events and activities on campus throughout the academic year
- Developing student-oriented initiatives
- Maintaining a student benefits program
- Coordinating the annual AS Outstanding Charger scholarships
- Designating student representatives to serve on our college’s shared governance committees
- Representing and advocating for our fellow students on campus, regional, and state levels
AS adheres to the Cypress College Associated Students Constitution and Bylaws in all business and operations. Our council may be comprised of up to nine Executive Board officers, up to 15 Senators, and up to 15 Activities Coordinators. We strongly encourage all ambitious and dedicated Cypress College students to join our team to become leading voices in our campus community.

AS business meetings are held every Monday throughout the regular semester at 1 p.m. in the SLL/VRC Conference Room (Building 8, Room 150). These meetings are open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend. Virtual attendance options are also available. View meeting agendas and minutes.
