Student Health and Wellness Fair

Flyer for health and wellness fair in Gateway Plaza May 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 7, the “Recharge Your Health” fair will offer a chance for students and the community to receive free checkups. The Student Health and Wellness Center has partnered with Serve The People to bring their Dental and Vision Mobile Clinic to provide FREE, comprehensive exams, which include dental X-rays and eyeglass prescriptions, with a follow-up to dispense glasses when ready. Additionally, on-site enrollers will assist with CalOptima and Medi-Cal, Covered CA, CalFresh, and all eligible services. Services provided by Orange County Social Services Agency and other community partners in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Healthy Minds Survey

Students: Use your voices to help us understand how to best support your mental health and wellness needs. Plus, get a chance to win gift cards!

The Healthy Minds Survey provides a way to find students’ needs, understand how you use services, and understand your preferences. It also and asks about barriers to mental health and medical health services, to find out how to serve you better. Complete the survey by May 9 to be entered to win an Amazon gift card.

Theatre Arts Presents: Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

A tale of unrequited love – hilarious and heartbreaking. Twins are seperated in shipwreck and forced to fend for themselves in a strange land. The result of which mistaken identity, wacky pranks and best of all, true love! Performances are in the Studio Theater May 2, 3, 9, 10, 7 p.m. and May 4 and 11 at 4 p.m.

Legacy Black Graduation and Culmination Celebration

You’re invited to the Legacy Black Graduation & Culmination Celebration to honor the remarkable achievements and excellence of Black, African American, Diasporic, and Legacy students. Thursday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cypress College Tent (near pond). RSVP by the deadline of Wednesday, April 30 to reserve a spot.

VAPA Exhibits at John Wayne Airport

The Collective Self — an art and photography exhibit from Cypress College’s Visual & Performing Arts Division — is now on display at John Wayne Airport in the baggage claim area across Terminals A & B. The exhibit opened April 9, 2025. This collection features the immense talent of our students and faculty and is free and open to the public—no boarding pass needed. Enter the baggage claim area to view the exhibit. And mark your calendars for Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m. and visit the airport for a live performance of Connections by the Cypress College Dance Team and Vocal Jazz Singers.

Projection Mapping Show

On May 8 from 7:45 to 9 p.m., the Media Arts Design Department will hold a projection mapping show in Gateway Plaza, utilizing the library mural and Campus Theater south wall as backdrops for a moving art show. The event is in conjunction with the Art Gallery Student show opening and the fashion show event organized by the Fashion Club. It will focus on student work as well as show colorful patterns and textural elements.

World Language Preview Day

The Foreign Language Department presents World Language Preview Day to highlight world language programs (Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish) as well as share the benefits and joys of learning another language. All students are welcome; FREE pizza, drinks, and cookies! April 30, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. HUM CC-217A and 217B.

New Common Course Numbering

The online searchable schedule for fall 2025 is now live with some changes: Common Course Numbering (CCN). The CCN system provides a streamlined and consistent approach to course numbers and titles across California Community College systems.  The aim is to create a student-friendly system for course registration and credit transfers. Be sure to read the note at the top of the searchable class schedule that identifies impacted courses.

Student Mandatory Sexual Violence and Harassment Training

All NOCCCD (Cypress College, Fullerton College, and NOCE) students must complete annual training on sexual violence and harassment, as required by California law (AB 2683). This short but important training helps you understand your rights, available resources, and how we can all contribute to a safe and respectful campus.
