Welcome to the Spring Semester!

Happy first day of the semester! New semesters might bring new questions, so we’ve put together a list of tips, services, and frequently asked questions to help guide you through these first few weeks. Visit Spring Semester Central, or click on the links below to find helpful information.


Connect to Campus WiFi

Need help accessing the WiFi on campus? Here are instructions to get connected.

  1. Select the “Eduroam” WiFi network from your device’s list of available networks.
  2. Input your username and password.
    1. Username: your student ID and “@cypresscollege.edu” (e.g. 01234567@cypresscollege.edu)
    2. Password: Your myGateway password
  3. Set configurations on:
    1. Apple devices: when prompted, click “Trust” for the certificate.
    2. Android devices, set the following:
      1. EAP: PEAP
      2. CA Certificate: Don’t validate
  4. You should now be connected to the WiFi on campus!


Parking Registration and Permit Required for On-Campus Parking by 2/18

You must register your vehicle(s) and display a permit to access on-campus parking this semester. Each vehicle must be registered.

Enforcement of parking permits will be begin Wednesday, February 18. All other parking and traffic regulations will continue to be enforced throughout the district at all times.


Food

You have a few options for on-campus food. Charger Cafe serves breakfast and lunch; Cypresso offers espresso drinks, pastries and stuffed croissants; the Bookstore offers packaged food; 16 vending machines across campus feature snacks and drinks; and the Foodture vending machines in CCCPLX and Tech Ed III offer hot meals 24/7.

Black History Month Celebrations

2026 marks a century of national commemorations of Black history. Join the campus celebrations starting next week with two events (register here for locations) and see all events on our online calendar.

People in Motion Dance Auditions This Wednesday

The Cypress College Dance Department is auditioning for “People in Motion” 2026 (show dates May 15-17). No dance experience needed! Wear comfortable workout clothes. Open to students, staff, and faculty.

When: February 4, 6 p.m.

UndocuAdvocate Training

Faculty and staff: Join UndocuAdvocate Training, a professional development event designed to understand the lived experiences of undocumented and mixed-status students in higher education.  This training centers the unique challenges of undocumented students and explores the critical role we play in fostering inclusive and affirming environments. Certificate of completion and lunch will be provided. Click here to register

Art & Photo Galleries Exhibits and Openings

The Cypress Art Gallery and the Photography Department are hosting their exhibition receptions early this semester. The art gallery will present Topographix: Latinx Photographers and the Sub/Urban Landscape, and the photo gallery will feature works by Arnoldo Vargas. Both receptions will be in the evening of Thursday, February 12.
