EOPS/CARE/NextUp, Guardian Scholars, CalWORKs, & Grads to Be
Welcome to Cypress College! We are thrilled to have you explore the diverse and supportive programs we offer to help you succeed in your educational journey.
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is a state and college-funded program designed to assist students facing economic, linguistic, and educational challenges. Our comprehensive support services aim to promote access to college and enhance retention and transfer rates to four-year universities and colleges.
Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is a specialized program within EOPS, dedicated to single parents receiving public assistance. This program is a collaborative effort between the Department of Social Services, the Department of Employment, and Cypress College, striving to break the cycle of welfare dependency through educational training and self-sufficiency.
California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) supports student parents receiving Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF). Our staff, employed by the North Orange County Community College District, advocate for self-sufficiency through education, helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
NextUp/Guardian Scholars is tailored for current and former foster youth attending Cypress College. Our dedicated team is committed to your academic, career, and personal success, providing a supportive environment to help you thrive.
Grads to Be Program offers a safe and inclusive space for undocumented students at Cypress College. Our supportive staff provides a variety of services and resources to help you flourish and cultivate a sense of belonging on campus. We are here to support your academic, professional, and personal success, taking a holistic approach to meet your needs.
We look forward to supporting you on your path to success at Cypress College!
