Description/Purpose/ChargeThe IPRC works under the purview of the Academic Senate to review instructional programs through the instructional program review process and make recommendations as needed to Cypress College and to the North Orange County Community College District.
Reporting Relationships  The IPRC is a subcommittee of the Academic Senate and makes regular reports to the Academic Senate.

The IPRC provides an annual report to Academic Senate, PBC, and PAC.
Decision-Making Authority  The IPRC has the authority to determine an instructional program’s compliance status based on a review of the program’s program review form and presentation.

The IPRC has the authority to make recommendations to the college or district through the annual report.

The IPRC has the authority to create, update, and maintain instructional program review forms.

Terms of Membership  Division representatives and faculty liaisons serve three- year terms.

Chairs serve a three-year term.

IRP and instructional dean, student services program review liaison representatives have no term limits per individual.
Membership Process  The Academic Senate appoints the chair(s) and the diversity, equity, and inclusion liaison, SLO Coordinator, and Accreditation Faculty Chair.

Each division is responsible for selecting its representative.

The administration (Vice President of Instruction) is responsible for selecting the instructional dean.

The Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) office selects the IRP representatives.
The Student Service Program Review Committee is responsible for selecting its liaison.
Meeting Dates/Times  The IPRC meets on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m. as needed.

The committee will meet every Monday in November for instructional program review presentations.

The committee will have planning and review meetings (not to exceed two meetings per month) as needed during other months.

IPRC meeting dates are to be determined by the chair(s) before the start of the semester and communicated to the committee via email prior to the first meeting.
Meeting ProceduresThe IPRC chair(s) shall set agendas for meetings and conduct them in accordance with the rules outlined in the IPRC Meeting Bylaws.
Consensus Process, Decision-Making, and DocumentationIPRC will use consensus as its voting method. When there is dissension, IPRC members will make all attempts to work out their differences and discussion should continue until consensus is achieved. Consensus shall mean that everyone should show thumbs up, but consensus may also mean thumbs sideways provided all IPRC members agree to move forward with the issue despite the lack of full consensus.
Communication and Distribution of MaterialsThe group will provide timely and accessible documentation (i.e., agendas and minutes) of its activity and outputs that reflect key discussion points and action items. The group will distribute this documentation to their constituency via email or posting to the group’s SharePoint or on the Cypress College website.
