Peer Tutors for Faculty

How to include a Peer Tutor in your course

To include a Peer Tutor in your English 100, 101, or ESL 110 course, contact the Peer Tutor Program Coordinator.

In addition to providing students with one-on-one tutoring specific to your class, Peer Tutors can act as a vital bridge of communication between students and faculty.

How to best utilize a Peer Tutor

Peer Tutors do not teach material in their tutoring sessions but rather facilitate and further elaborate on information you have taught. Peer Tutors are trained on study strategies, English skills, and campus resources to support student success both specific to your class and in college in general.

Faculty in the Peer Tutoring Program attend 1-4 training sessions/semester. For more information about how to best utilize a Peer Tutor in your course, contact the Peer Tutor Program Coordinator.
