Grounds

The Grounds Department is responsible for the upkeep of landscape that makes up the 110 acres of campus grounds. Responsibilities include the servicing of areas such as:

  • Lawns: Periodic mowing, weed control, irrigation, and removal of litter and debris.
  • Shrubs and Trees: Pruning, replacement of dead plantings, canopy maintenance, and other operations designed to promote the steady and healthy growth of the various trees and shrubs around campus.
  • Sports Fields: Home to Cypress College men’s and women’s squads, these fields are maintained with the best-known industry practices available. The work is done in coordination with the coaches and players to minimize the disruption to their programs while maintaining the fields to their optimum play level.
