The Office of Vice President of Instruction
Dr. O. Lee Douglas Jr. was raised in Southern California in the beautiful city of Compton. Dr. Douglas completed his bachelor’s degree in communication at Pepperdine University, master’s Degree in education from California State University at Dominguez Hills, and Ed.D in community college leadership from National American University.
Dr. Douglas is deeply committed to dismantling systemic, structural barriers that produce inequitable student outcomes. His community involvement includes serving on several boards, including Center of Hope Los Angeles, Long Beach BLAST, (Better Learning for All Students Today) and aLLin Linked Learning. He is also a member of the 100 Black Men of Long Beach.
In his free time, Dr. Douglas loves traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Greta are the proud parents of three sons, Christian, Robert, and Brandon. They recently welcomed their first grandchild (Paris) to the family.
